 Digital staffing solution Jombone secures CA$1M for growth

Jombone, a Toronto-based digital staffing solution company has raised CA$1 million investment from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. This investment from FedDev Ontario will enable Jombone to expand operations and create 26 highly-skilled jobs​ in Mississauga region.

Jombone Inc., established in 2018 by Sumit Sahdev and Garima Sahdev, uses artificial intelligence, automation, and analytics to transform recruitment. Its digital staffing platform recruits, screens, and finds suitable candidates. According to the company, this process saves time and money for small and medium-sized businesses. The platform also helps manage workforces through a unified system.

Since 2015, the Government of Canada, through FedDev Ontario, has invested over $105 million in more than 160 projects in Mississauga. These investments have created over 1,300 jobs and maintained over 8,000 jobs​.

Jombone has its corporate headquarters in Milton and a sales headquarters in Mississauga. In addition to this, it has offices across Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. The company currently has 15 employees and serves over 50 cities across Canada. Jombone has received several awards, including Best Industrial Staffing & HCM Platform, Most Promising Canadian Tech Company 2022, and Top 10 Recruitment Solutions Providers in Canada in 2023​.

Digital staffing solution software market is flourishing

According to a report by Fortune Business Insights, the global staffing agency software market, valued at USD 486.1 million in 2022, is projected to grow from USD 529.4 million in 2023 to USD 1,058.9 million by 2030, with a CAGR of 10.4% during the forecast period. This market growth is driven by factors such as the demand for staffing agencies in small and medium-sized organizations and the increasing technological developments and digitization in emerging countries.

As per Crunchbase, Jombone has raised CA$4.3 million till date, including a CA$3 million seed round closed in 2022. In total, it has 6 investors, including Standup Ventures, The 51 Ventures, and N49P.
